I make stuff, act in stuff, perform comedy stuff. I do other stuff, but it’s not really stuff-you-put-on-a-website stuff.

A newer one is in the works, which is a thing people say, but this time it’s true.
Hey, here’s an idea: put me in something. I’ll put it on the reel. I’m already making a new one, so it’s zero extra work for me. Just let me know when so I can make sure I’m free that day.
Here are some of my Reels. But they’re not my Reel. Life is funny like that.
Look at all these guys. Wait, that’s just me. How did I do that? I’m like a chameleon.

Selected. Which means I picked them. I could have picked the other ones, but I picked these.

Joe Uhlarik is an actor, comedian, and filmmaker based in Chicago. If you made it this far and hadn’t figured that out, go back to the top and start from the beginning.
He is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory and also trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and with The Groundlings in Los Angeles. He got a B.A. in Cinema & Television Production from USC. Do you know how much that cost?
You might be thinking: hey, did this guy live in Los Angeles for a while? Wow. You are a sleuth. Yes he did. But Joe is actually a Chicagoland native. Well, he’s from Schaumburg. Close enough.
Let’s talk about Schaumburg for a while. Schaumburg is the home of Woodfield Mall, one of the premier malls in the entire Midwest. Joe saw Men in Black at that mall. He also saw Men in Black II at that mall. There’s an IKEA nearby.
Joe enjoys being both in front of and behind the camera. He also likes being on stage performing comedy, where there are no cameras. Except when people bring cameras. Then there are cameras there. His sketch group is No Kissing, which formed at The Second City in the Conservatory program, and he currently performs two-prov with Dylan Coakley as Surge. Surge recently performed at the Yes Ann Festival in Ann Arbor. Joe got Detroit-style pizza there. The show was good too.
If you’ve read this far, you’re probably wondering to yourself: what’s the status of Joe’s eligibility with the Screen Actors Guild? Well, let me tell you. He’s eligible. Does that answer your question? You might have other questions. For those kinds of questions, scroll down. Or wait, don’t scroll down. There’s no questions section. There’s an email section. That’ll do.
